Mr Tonkin is a Principal Environmental Sustainability Advisor with experience across all environmental disciplines.
Scott has gained a diversity of experience over more than 20 years of supporting many industries, and delivering a high standard of risk management to protect the environment and people's health and safety. He has demonstrated a strong record of compliance with plans and policies while ensuring statutory obligations are met. Scott has designed, developed and implemented Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in accordance with ISO14001 requirements.
Stakeholder management & engagement: ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels diplomatically, displaying trust and respect.
Leadership: experienced leader who is proficient in giving clear direction, governance and support where needed across an organisation and for a team of professionals. Relationships built on rapport, trust and high levels of emotional intelligence.
Creative excellence: proven experience in designing and implementing creative business improvement solutions to ensure delivery of optimal outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
Experienced and qualified environmental professional with Bachelor degrees in both Environmental Science (BEnvSc), and Science (BSc). Scott has obtained a Certificate in Business and Climate Change (net zero emissions) through Cambridge University, and is a Certified Environmental Practitioner through the CEnvP Scheme, and a full member of the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) since 2008.
Scott has been a speaker at conferences on both sustainability and contaminated land.
